We are the premiere performing arts academy in the Hampton Roads area.

Unlike many other facilities, we truly are designed to teach the complete arts to students, from children to adults.
Offering classes in dance, music, voice, theater, and art, we have everything under one roof.  We are proud to invite
you to take a tour of our brand new, state of the art performing arts facility, housing nearly six thousand square feet
of creative space including three dance studios, two music rooms, an art department, a dance store, multiple dressing
rooms, a kitchen, and much more!  All studios are complimented by professional concert sound systems.

Dance on the floors that the professionals dance on.

Our dance studios have professionally installed Harlequin Cascade Floating Dance Floors.
This same floor has been used or is being used for the performances of Riverdance - The Show, Cats,
Celine Dion Productions, Cirque du Soleil,
Sammy Hagar/David Lee Roth Tour, Showstopper American
Dance Championships, and many more.

It can also be found in the world renowned studios of American Ballet Theatre - NY, The Julliard School,
Carnegie Hall, Broadway Dance Center, Metropolitan Dance Company, Joffrey Ballet, San Francisco Ballet,
New York City Ballet and The Apollo Theater.

“Harlequin” floors are accepted worldwide as the best surface layer for recreational to professional dance.
Very few studios use professional Harlequin dance surfaces because of the expense involved and usually opt for
regular wood or tile on concrete. Inspiration Academy is proud to announce that we are part of an elite few that
have floors that the professionals dance on!

Dance is a very physical activity that requires a lot of jumping and leaps, which can put stress on bones and
joints. Most dance footwear does not provide any cushioning or support, so the shock of dance movement can
place a lot of pressure on the knees and back of a dancer. The best way to prevent against potential injury and
allow students to dance longer without getting fatigued is by choosing a studio with a professional “floating floor”.
Don't be mislead by dance studios that claim to have floating or sprung floors, but actually don't.
A dancer's body can definitely tell the difference!

Our facility is designed to provide a feeling of spaciousness and comfort, with safety in mind. As well as being a
large facility it's also a warm and friendly environment that is very family oriented.
